Abstract
We evaluated the Sysmex SE-9000 hematology system, a new generation blood cell analyzer which performs a complete blood cell count including morphometric studies and a full white blood differential count. The performance of SE-9000 was compared
with
those of NE-8000 and Coulter STKS, and the result of WBC differential count was also compared with that of manual count. We also studied within run precision, linearity, and stability of SE-9000 at room temperature.
@ES The results are as follows.
@EN (1) Within run precision was excellent except eosinophil and basophil count in WBC differentiation. (2) The close correlation was observed for all equivalent parameters except mean corpuscular volume(MCV) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin
concentration(MCHC) between SE-9000 and NE-8000. (3) The close correlation was observed for all equivalent parameters except mean corpuscular hemoglobin(MCH) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration(MCHC) between SE-9000 and Coulter STKS.
(4)
In
WBC differential count, the correlation between SE-9000 and manual count was good in neutrophil, lymphocyte, and eosinophil, but poor in monocyte and basophil, (5) The excellent linearity and stability at room temperature were observed.
It is suggested that Sysmex SE-9000 is the rapid, simple, and efficient automated hematology analyzer.
